Why use iBuildPDF
Pages are rendered to images directly in your browser using PDF.js — your document is never uploaded.
How it works
Each selected page is rasterized at a high resolution and exported as a JPG.
Frequently asked questions
What resolution are the exported images?
Pages are rendered at a resolution suitable for on-screen viewing and standard printing. Very large multi-page PDFs may take longer on slower devices since rendering happens locally.
Can I choose the image quality?
Yes — there are three presets rather than a free-form DPI box. High renders each page at roughly twice its nominal size for printing or zooming, Balanced is the everyday default, and Small produces the lightest files for sharing. There is a ceiling worth understanding: once a page is rendered to pixels it cannot be made sharper again, unlike the original PDF, which stays crisp at any zoom.
Why does text look softer in the JPG than in the PDF?
PDF text is drawn from font outlines, so it re-renders sharply at whatever size you view it. Converting to JPG freezes the page into fixed pixels, and JPG compression is tuned for photographs rather than the hard edges of letterforms. Small type is where you notice it first. Choosing the High preset reduces the effect but cannot remove it — that is inherent to turning vectors into pixels.
Do I get one image per page?
Yes. Every page becomes its own JPG file and they download together, rather than being stitched into one long image. A ten-page PDF gives you ten images, numbered in page order. If you only want one page, the quickest route is to extract that page first with Split PDF and then convert the single-page file.
