Best for
Turning screenshots or exported graphics into a document that opens the same way everywhere.
Main limitation
Transparency is preserved rather than flattened. That looks the same as white on an ordinary page, but a transparent area placed over something else — a watermark, a merged background — will let it through.

How to use this tool

  1. Select your PNG files, or drag them in.
  2. Drag them into the order you want.
  3. Choose whether each page matches its image, or fits an A4 page.
  4. Download the PDF.

Why use iBuildPDF

Screenshots are the most common thing anyone needs to turn into a document, and sending fourteen separate PNG files is nobody's idea of a report.

How it works

Each image is embedded into a page at full resolution, with its transparency intact. Nothing is painted behind a PDF page, so in a normal viewer a transparent area shows as the white of the page and prints as blank paper. It is not filled with white, though — put that page over something else and whatever is behind will show through.

Frequently asked questions

Does it reduce the image quality?

No. PNG data is embedded as-is. If the resulting file is too large, run it through Compress PDF afterwards.

Can I mix PNG and JPG?

Yes — this tool accepts both, and so does JPG to PDF. They are the same engine with a different starting point.

What page size do the images end up on?

There are two choices. Match image size makes each page exactly as big as its image, so a 3000-pixel-wide screenshot becomes a very wide page. Fit to A4 page scales each image down onto an A4 sheet and centres it, which is the one to pick if the document will be printed.

What happens to transparent areas?

A PDF page has nothing painted behind it, so transparency shows as the white of the page in normal viewers and prints as blank paper. If you need a particular background colour, add it in an image editor before converting.

How many images can I convert at once?

There is no fixed limit, but every image is held in your browser's memory while the PDF is assembled, so a few hundred full-resolution screenshots can exhaust a phone or an older laptop. If a large batch stalls, do it in two halves and merge the results.

Can I put a page of my own text between the images?

Not here — this tool makes pages out of images and nothing else. Write the text page separately, export it as a PDF, and merge the two files. Page numbers can be added afterwards if the finished document needs them.
